Postcards for Het Nieuwe Instituut

As an assignment for Het Nieuwe Instituut in Rotterdam, an institute for design, architecture and technology I will make postcards (image and poetic text) during their Sobremesa dinners. Sobremesa is Spanish for an informal get together, mostly on sundays. The tradition of relaxing at the table after a heavy meal. Having drinks, talking, being together.

Het Nieuwe Instituut organizes a few Sobremesa’s in 2019 for artists and other professionals within their network. I was invited to join and document these get togethers in photography and writing. An example of the front and back sides of one of the postcards I made:
